ECU rolls out ticket promotion for UNCW game
East Carolina's home basketball game on
New Year's Eve with Colonial Athletic Association member UNC-Wilmington
offers fans some extra perks in addition to the renewal of a rivalry that
has been dormant for almost five years.
The school's athletic department
announced Thursday it is making available a special ticket package including
refreshments for the first meeting between the Pirates and Seahawks since
February of 2001.
The promotional bundle will include
four tickets and a voucher for four complimentary hot dogs and four Pepsi
products for $50.
With ECU's classes still adjourned
because of the Christmas holiday break, prime lower level seating usually
reserved for students will be available to the general public.
The game will be the first between the
two schools since ECU left the CAA after the 2000-01 season to join
Conference USA as an all-sports member. The Pirates and Seahawks met at
least twice each season from 1979-2001.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the
ECU Athletic Ticket Office at (252) 328-4500 or 1-800-DIAL-ECU. Tip-off is
set for Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. in Minges Coliseum's Williams Arena.
