GREENVILLE — East Carolina took all three games of its weekend series with Charlotte, completing a sweep with a 3-1 win on Sunday at Clark-LeClair Stadium as Connor Norby and Josh Moylan hit home runs for the No. 14 Pirates.
The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the first after loading the bases with no outs. Aaron McKeithan grounded into a double play but Craig Keuchel scored from third.
The Pirates (13-2) got a tying run in the bottom of the second after singles by Seth Caddell and Alec Makarewicz. Ben Newton had an RBI single through the left side.
ECU took the lead in the third on Norby’s homer to right.
Moylan hit his round tripper to left in the sixth.
Charlotte (8-6) had a 7-6 lead in hits.
Tyler Smith started for the Pirates and went four and two-thirds innings. He allowed five hits, one run (earned) and no walks while striking out four.
Matt Bridges (2-0) got the win in relief with two and one-third innings that included one hit and no walks. Ryder Giles pitched the ninth for his first save.
ECU visits UNC-Wilmington (10-3) on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Seahawks are coming off a 3-game sweep at home against Appalachian State.
