COLUMBIA — Steve Spurrier will make his
debut as South Carolina's coach before a national audience in a prime-time
Thursday night game.
South Carolina has moved the season opener against Central Florida to Sept.
1. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT and the game will be televised on
ESPN.
The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 3.
Spurrier's Southeastern Conference debut will be Sept. 10 at Georgia.
