Our basketball facility can be adequate. Coach Herrion proved that. Win enough and it becomes a dreaded place to play for the opposition and a fun home court advantage for our players.

Maybe we are turning a corner? This really looks like a different team over the past 5 games. These guys can fight with the best of them when they feel like it. We will be there tonight and I hope everyone else is too. It could be fun tonight! AAARRRGGGHH!

Glad he set the record straight on Bowman. So many of our fans were sure that Lebo did not recruit the young man. Now we have heard the rest of the story.

Interesting article. Thanks for this kind of coverage. I think he did all he could while at ECU. Sounds like he was burnt out and needed a change. Glad he’s doing well and glad we have Dooley now. We do need to upgrade our facilities big time. Hopefully some winning will help that. Go Pirates!!!

The enthusiasm about our recruiting class has to be tempered. We have 21 recruits. The ranking is based on "total stars". So, some teams only list 14 or 15 recruits, so, their numbers aren't as high... Still good progress.

Even though I miss listening to the fifth quarter call-in show after every Scotty Mo game and laughing at the comments, I must admit I was too optimistic about this past year. Coach Houston is a great coach but he is not a miracle worker. I would say in year three we should be really good.

I’ve been a Pirate Club Member and Season Ticket holder since 1980. I have only missed a very few handful of home games over what will be 40 years now. I hated missing the very few that I didn’t go to. The only way ECU recovers is if out alumni, students, and fans come out and attend games. Not only in Football but basketball, and baseball. Heck, for that matter women’s basketball, softball, lacrosse, etc. Support the Pirate Club, even if it’s at the lowest PC level. Support by attending games. Win or lose. Just support the Pirate teams because we are Pirates.
