East Carolina coach Blake Harrell addressed the media Friday and fielded questions after the team’s second scrimmage. He noted that the team showed improvement compared to last Friday’s scrimmage and reiterated as he has often done that the objective is continuous improvement. Harrell said that practice sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week heading into Saturday’s spring game.

ECU opens the 2026 season on Sept. 5 at Alabama. The Pirates finished 9-4 last season, capped off by a 23-17 triumph over Pittsburg in the Military Bowl.
