GREENVILLE — East Carolina senior guard Jordan Riley earned dual Player of the Week accolades Monday, capturing his second American Athletic Conference honor of the season and the Lute Olson Award National Player of the Week recognition.

The awards follow a dominant week in which Riley propelled the Pirates to victories over Texas-San Antonio and Memphis. He averaged 29 points, eight rebounds, and four steals per game, shooting 51.4% from the field, 60% from three-point range, and 76.2% from the free-throw line.

Riley’s most notable performance came in ECU’s 84-68 triumph over Memphis on Sunday, in which he posted 31 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the campaign. That outing marked his seventh game this season with 30 or more points — ranking second nationally — and included a career-tying six steals against UTSA, his second six-steal game of the year.

The 6-foot-5 guard becomes the first ECU player since Jayden Gardner in 2019-20 to claim American Athletic Conference Player of the Week multiple times in a single season.

The Lute Olson Award, presented annually to Division I’s top player, selects its weekly honorees via a voting panel of current Division I coaches, athletic administrators, and senior CollegeInsider staff. Earlier recipients this season include Duke’s Cameron Boozer, Texas Tech’s J.T. Toppin, BYU’s AJ Dybantsa, Arizona’s Koa Peat, and Houston’s Kingston Flemings.

Riley and the Pirates next face Tulsa at Minges Coliseum on Thursday at 7 p.m. The contest will be televised on ESPN2/ESPNU.
