GREENVILLE — Josh Moylan was 4-for-4 with four RBIs as No. 10 East Carolina completed a 3-game sweep of Missouri State with a 10-1 win at Clark-LeClair Stadium on Sunday.
Moylan scored the first run in the bottom of the first inning and the Pirates led the rest of the way in improving to 16-4.
Moylan doubled down the left field line with two down in the first and moved to third on a wild pitch. He came home on a single to left by Jacob Jenkins-Cowart.
Josh Grosz (3-0) started and went seven and two-thirds innings for the win. He limited the Bears (11-8) to three hits and no runs while walking five and striking out five.
Moylan drove in two runs with a single in the sixth. The junior first baseman had a 2-run double and Carter Cunningham had a 2-run homer in a 4-run eighth for ECU.
The Pirates got lone runs on an RBI single by Lane Hoover in the fourth, a sacrifice fly by Hoover in the sixth and a sacrifice fly by Alec Makarewicz in the seventh.
Hoover had two hits and two RBIs.
ECU takes on No. 19 Campbell (15-3) in Fayetteville on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Camels topped the Pirates, 6-5, in 10 innings on Feb. 21.
