The American Athletic Conference announced changes to the basketball slate involving three schools on Monday.

The East Carolina-Wichita State game scheduled for Dec. 30, which was postponed in the wake of a cluster of positive COVID-19 tests in the ECU program, will not be rescheduled.

The only regular-season contest between the Pirates and Shockers will take place on Sunday, Feb. 21, at noon in Wichita. The game will be telecast on ESPNU.

In a season marked by regular, coronavirus-related disruptions to its schedule, the Sunday matchup at Wichita State will mark ECU’s first competitive action after the recent postponement of three straight games due to COVID concerns.

In other schedule adjustments, the AAC announced that Southern Methodist and Wichita State will play two times in four days, including Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in Wichita, and Sunday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. in Dallas. The teams’ first game was originally scheduled for Jan. 17.
