Without an indoor facility, East Carolina’s football team practices in the rain as long as there isn’t any lightning. That experience may have some value as the Pirates visit South Florida tonight for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The forecast is calling for 82 degrees at the start of the American Athletic Conference contest with 79 percent humidity, a 50 percent chance of showers and wind from the south-southwest at five miles per hour. By game’s end, the mercury is projected to drop into the upper 70s with 93 percent humidity, a 20 percent chance of showers and the wind will shift slightly to five miles per hour from the south.
