Purple Division winner Paul Gainey of The Bonesville Pig Cooking Crew and Gold Division winner Mark Copeland of the Pocosin Boys were among the trophy recipients in the 36th Annual Pigskin Pigout pig cooking contest. Below this list of the top finishers in the Purple (amateur), Gold (professional) and Showmanship divisions of the competition is a sample collection of snapshots in slide show format from the Saturday event. 36th Annual Purple-Gold Pigskin Pigout Pig Cooking Award Winners:

Purple (Amateur) Division
1st- The Bonesville Pig Cooking Crew — Paul Gainey and John Gainey, Bonesville
2nd- Terry Windham — (no name or sponsor)
3rd- Miss Piggies Tanning Bed — Jeffrey Harrell, Circle T Trucking

Gold (Professional) Division
1st- Pocosin Boys — Mark Copeland (no sponsor)
2nd- Wicked Pig — Billy Narron (no sponsor)
3rd- Beach Boys BBQ — Chris Fineran (no sponsor)
4th- Lasy Days Cookin Team — David Grandy, Down East Investments, LLC
5th- BP Country Cookers — Bobby Prescott, State Farm

Showmanship Awards
1st- Pork N Pirates — Pete Balent, Duck Donuts
2nd- Down East BBQ Boys — Danny Woodring (no sponsor)

The 36 Annual Pigskin Pigout Weekend was capped off by a 71-36 victory by the Purple team (offense) over the Gold team (defense) in the spring football game.
