East Carolina plays its first home game of the season as Appalachian State comes in for a noon kickoff (ESPNU). The forecast is calling for a temperature of 86 degrees with partly cloudy skies at the outset. There is a zero percent chance of rain at noon with 68 percent humidity and wind from the south at five miles per hour. The conditions are expected to change during the nonconference contest. The temperature will increase to 88 degrees and the humidity will drop to 63 percent. A 40 percent chance of a shower is in the outlook and the wind will pick up to seven miles per hour.
