East Carolina starts the 2026 football season at Alabama at noon today (TV: ABC) with Tuscaloosa under a heat advisory until Sunday at 8 p.m. The temperature is expected to be 95 degrees at kickoff, although the heat index will be higher. There is a zero percent chance of rain at the outset with 48 percent humidity and wind from the East at five miles per hour. During the course of the nonconference contest, the forecast is calling for the mercury to move up to 98 degrees with a 20 percent chance of a shower as the humidity drops to 42 percent and the wind increases to seven mph out of the East.
