East Carolina defensive coordinator Jordon Hankins and offensive coordinator Jordan Davis fielded questions from the media Monday after the team’s practice session. Each of them addressed a number of topics as they appraise their respective units in their first year in the roles.

ECU opens the 2026 season on Sept. 5 at Alabama. The Pirates finished 9-4 last season, capped off by a 23-17 triumph over Pittsburg in the Military Bowl.
