East Carolina coach Blake Harrell addressed the media Monday and fielded questions after the sixth set of spring drills. He noted that the receiving corps is a strength so far and that Miami transfer receiver Ray Ray Joseph is among the players that have stood out. The Pirates will practice in pads again on Wednesday and will participate in the spring’s first scrimmage on Friday.

ECU opens the 2026 season on Sept. 5 at Alabama. The Pirates finished 9-4 last season, capped off by a 23-17 triumph over Pittsburg in the Military Bowl.
