East Carolina coach Blake Harrell took questions from reporters at his Monday press conference. He reviewed the Pirates’ Saturday night loss to BYU and addressed short-week preparations for Thursday’s night’s primetime home game with American Athletic Conference foe and defending league champion Army (7:30 p.m., ESPN).  The series with the Black Knights dates back to 1995 when both teams were in Conference USA. Army prevailed over the Pirates last season in its inaugural campaign in the AAC, 45-28. ECU leads the overall series, 8-1.
