FOOTBALL NEWSAAC football title game set for ABC again

May 14, 2025 By Bonesville Staff Leave a Comment

The 2025 American Conference Football Championship Game will air on ABC for the 11th straight year. Hosted at the regular-season champion’s stadium, it kicks off ABC’s Championship Weekend on Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Big 12, Southeastern Conference, and Atlantic Coast Conference title games.

Since 2015, the American title game has drawn over 26 million viewers. Last year, first-year member Army won the league title, defeating Tulane 35-14. It was the signature win as a group of six AAC teams prevailed in bowl games as the conference earned the Bowl Challenge Cup as the top-performing league in Bowl Season.

Army, Memphis, and Navy each won 10-plus games, with Army (No. 21) and Memphis (No. 24) in the final AP Top 25.

An American news release and Grok artificial intelligence contributed to this report.
