BUIES CREEK — Campbell scored twice in the bottom of the seventh after a hit batter led off the inning and the Camels topped East Carolina, 3-2, at Jim Perry Stadium.
Darnell Parker was plunked to start the decisive frame. Winning pitcher Jett Music (1-0) followed with a single through the left side to put runners at first and second.
Andrew Schuldt’s RBI double down the left field line tied the score at 2. Music scored the go-ahead run on a grounder to first.

The Pirates tallied twice in the fourth to lead, 2-1, after a leadoff walk to Colby Wallace. He moved to third on an error and scored on another miscue that put Alex Bouche on first. Bouche stole second and moved to third on an error by the catcher.
Bouche came home on a ground out by Nick Parham.
The Camels (1-3) took a 1-0 lead in the second when a sacrifice fly by Parker brought in Ben Karpowicz, who had singled to start the inning.

ECU (2-2) was outhit, 6-2.
“We’ve got a lot of guys banged up, but that’s not an excuse,” said Pirates coach Cliff Godwin on the ECU radio network. “We’ll be better when we get more quality at-bats.”
The Pirates open a 3-game series at three different sites with No. 6 North Carolina (4-0) in Greenville on Friday at 5 p.m.
