GREENVILLE — Four players scored in double figures for North Alabama in a 74-67 win at East Carolina on Wednesday night.
The Lions (7-4) got a game-high 19 points from Jacari Lane. Corneilous Williams had 15 points, Will Soucie scored 13 and Taye Fields added 12.
A 3-pointer by Lane gave the visitors a 16-15 lead with 11 minutes left in the first half and North Alabama stayed ahead the rest of the way.
The Lions were on top, 36-22, at the half and had their biggest lead at 41-26 with 18:40 remaining.
ECU (7-4) closed within five points four times but could get no closer.
Pirates coach Mike Shwartz said there will be adjustments.
“We are not a good team right now,” Schwartz said after ECU’s third straight loss. “We didn’t play well tonight. We will make some adjustments. We will fix it. … Credit to North Alabama for coming in and being ready to play tonight.”
C.J. Walker paced the Pirates with 18 points. Cam Hayes scored 17. Yan Farell had 10 points. Jordan Riley tallied nine and R. J. Felton netted eight.
Hayes and Felton each had four assists.
The Lions had a 35-27 rebounding advantage as Fields grabbed 11.
ECU hosts Florida International on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (ESPN+). The Panthers are 3-6 going into a game at Stetson (1-8) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Pirates defeated the Hatters, 71-64, on Nov. 22, in Daytona Beach.
