Watch this “Pirate Football Playback” episode of the The Sports Objective‘s series of YouTube clips. David Richmond, Bubba Rosenbaum, Kyle Barber and Matt Semenza dissect East Carolina’s stunning blowout loss on the road to American Athletic Conference foe Charlotte on Saturday. They candidly critique the breakdowns in the Pirates’ performance, speculate on bigger questions surrounding the program and also touch on the major challenge that looms at unbeaten Army after the coming bye week.
Richard says
The only question is why does every coach come here and become mediocre?
Irish Spectre says
To Semenza’s point about the defense tapping out, find the post game presser with the Charlotte RBs on Twitter; that’s essentially what they said. It is extremely damning.
Irish Spectre says
Semenza’s point about the OL is exactly correct; it is simply poor, unable to create holes and unable to protect Garcia. To assess them as being even marginally better than the disaster that they were last year takes monumental generosity. The crew here also justifiably makes a big issue about possession; there is simply NO WAY possible that that can fixed with this OL’s performance.
