Tropical storm conditions during the morning should subside and transition to more favorable conditions before the 6 p.m. kickoff between East Carolina and Gardner-Webb at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. There will be a chance of rain before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers until midnight. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 60 as the night progresses. Prevailing southwest winds of 9 to 14 mph may be interrupted by gusts as high as 26 mph.
