WR Zay Jones and RB/multipurpose player James Summers recorded triple-digit yardage totals and backup QB Gardner Minshew once again had to come in mid-game in relief for an injured Phillip Nelson, helping ECU get close. But even with a career-best 12 tackles from Dayon Pratt, the Pirate defense couldn’t contain explosion plays from USF’s QB Quinton Flowers, WR Rodney Adams and RB Marlon Mack in Saturday’s AAC clash at Raymond James Stadium.
