STORRS, CT Dwanya Williams-Sutton hit a three-run homer and Jacob Wolfe pitched the first complete game of his career as East Carolina completed a three-game American Athletic Conference sweep at Connecticut with a 3-2 win Sunday.

Williams-Sutton belted his fourth homer of the season in the eighth inning for a 3-0 ECU lead after one-out singles by Travis Watkins and Garrett Brooks.

Wolfe took a one-hit shutout into the ninth inning when the Huskies rallied for a pair of runs. Willy Yahn got the comeback started with a single to left center and Duffin followed with a hit. A wild pitch allowed Yahn to take third. Bryan Daniello reached on a fielder's choice that brought Yahn in as Duffin was retired at second.

Gnesda's two-out single to center brought in Daniello and got UConn within 3-2 before the Pirates stranded the potential tying run.

Wolfe (6-3) had a career-high nine strikeouts. The junior left-hander yielded four hits and two earned runs. He walked two. He threw 139 pitches, 83 for strikes.

ECU improved to 30-16-1 overall and 11-6-1 in the AAC with its first league sweep of the season.

The Pirates outhit the Huskies (24-22, 8-9) by an 8-4 margin as Watkins and Williams-Sutton each went 2-for-4.

Watkins led off the sixth with a double but was among nine ECU runners left on base. Charlie Yorgen had a double. Turner Brown, Brooks and Bryce Harman also had hits.
