Special Events Coincide with Football Schedule

GREENVILLE — East Carolina University`s special events planned in
conjunction with 2002 home football games have been announced by department
of athletics officials this week.
Each of ECU`s five home games, all to be played on Saturdays, have been
designated for extra activities, beginning with the home opener on Sept. 14
against Tulane, which will feature the Pigskin Pig-Out presented by Toyota.
The Pirates` Oct. 5 meeting with Army will be part of Family Weekend and
Pirate Club Day. ECU`s annual Homecoming Day will feature the Pirates versus
South Florida and will also be Letterwinners/Hall of Fame Weekend.
The Nov. 2 matchup with Cincinnati will be Band Day, and the home slate
is rounded out with ECU taking on TCU on Nov. 23, tabbed Academic Success
Day.
Kickoff time for each game will be announced later.
