OTHER NOTES:
40 of the 64 teams were in the 2002 field. Three teams make the field for the first time in their history: UC Riverside, Ill.-Chicago and UNC Wilmington. Murray State is in the field for the first time since 1979, Eastern Michigan last was in the championship in 1982 and Le Moyne's only other trip to the tournament was 1989.

Miami (Fla.) is in the field for the 31st consecutive year, extending its own record. Florida State is making its 26th straight appearance, second all time. Other long consecutive streaks include Clemson (17), LSU (15), Cal St. Fullerton (12) and Stanford (10).

27 teams won at least 40 Division I games through May 25, and all are in the field of 64. There are 285 Division I teams sponsoring baseball in 2003, the most in history.
