Tip-Off Classic pits UAB against Massachusetts
SPRINGFIELD, MA — In a match-up of
prominent teams from Conference USA and the Atlantic 10 Conference, UAB and
Massachusetts will play in the Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 27.
UAB, which lost to Arizona in the
second round of last season's NCAA tournament, will be making its first
appearance in the game played at the MassMutual Center in downtown
Springfield.
Massachusetts, led by first-year coach
Travis Ford, will be making its second appearance in the game. The then

Classic. Massachusetts went to No. 1 after that game for the first time in
school history.
No. 13 Maryland beat No. 25 Memphis
