ECU
women hijack title
in final league meet |

HOUSTON �
The East Carolina
women�s track and
field team bid adieu
to Conference USA in
style on Sunday by
capturing its
first-ever league
outdoor
championship. The
ECU men�s squad
earned a third place
finish. Head coach
Curt Kraft (kneeling,
right, with banner) was
named the league's
outdoor women's coach of the
year. Kraft was
similarly honored
when the ECU women's
team won the C-USA
indoor title in
March. The Pirates
will beginning
competing in the
American Athletic
Association in
