PLAYERS OF THE WEEK*
OFFENSE: East Carolina's Shane Carden was named offensive player of the week for the fourth time in his career. The junior QB was 46-of-54 for 447 yards and five TDs in the Pirates' 52-38 win over Old Dominion. The completions and yardage were new school records.
DEFENSE: North Texas senior LB Zach Orr had 11 tackles, a sack, a tackle-for-loss, a pass breakup and a forced and recovered fumble in the Mean Green's 40-6 win over Idaho.
SPECIAL TEAMS: UAB junior KR/WR Jamarcus Nelson had 367 all-purpose yards in the Blazers' 34-31 overtime loss at Troy. His production included a school-record 97-yard kickoff return for a TD.
