OFFENSE: Sophomore QBs Shane Carden of ECU and Rakeem Cato of Marshall share the honor. Carden captured the award for the second time this season by completing 31 of 43 passes for 305 yards and four TDs in the Pirates' 48-28 triumph over Houston. Cato connected on 34 of 44 passes for 341 yards and four TDs in the Thundering Herd's 38-28 win over Memphis.
DEFENSE: Central Florida senior LB Troy Davis had two sacks, five tackles, a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry in the Golden Knights' 42-17 victory over Southern Methodist.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Tulane junior K Cairo Santos booted a pair of field goals, including a school-record 57-yarder, and converted five PATs in the Green Wave's 49-47 loss to Rice.
