The Pirates, fresh off a three-game weekend sweep of visiting Central Florida, jumped three spots to 20th in the BaseballAmerica rankings and moved up from the 26th spot to No. 22 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.

Unbeaten through its first ten games, ECU also debuted in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll for the first time this season with a ranking of 23rd.

Fellow Conference USA members joining the Pirates in the rankings are Houston (10th, 16th and 18th in the BaseballAmerica, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and ESPN/USA Today polls, respectively) and Tulane (24th, 23rd and 22nd).

Other Carolinas teams in the rankings are Clemson (2nd, 3rd and 3rd), South Carolina (7th, 4th and 5th) and Wake Forest (16th, 10th and 13th).

The new rankings were released Monday and were based on results of games through Sunday, March 3.
