Baseball Polls

Six C-USA, Carolinas Teams in Rankings
East Carolina is on the move in all of the major weekly collegiate baseball
rankings.
The Pirates, fresh off a three-game weekend sweep of
visiting Central Florida, jumped three spots to 20th in the
BaseballAmerica rankings and moved up from
the 26th spot to No. 22 in the
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.
Unbeaten through its first ten games, ECU also debuted in
the
USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll for the first
time this season with a ranking of 23rd.
Fellow Conference USA members joining the Pirates in the
rankings are Houston (10th, 16th and 18th in the BaseballAmerica, Collegiate
Baseball Newspaper and ESPN/USA Today polls, respectively) and Tulane (24th,
23rd and 22nd).
Other Carolinas teams in the rankings are Clemson (2nd, 3rd
and 3rd), South Carolina (7th, 4th and 5th) and Wake Forest (16th, 10th and
13th).
The new rankings were released Monday and were based on
results of games through Sunday, March 3.
