Pirates overcome St.
Paul's

GREENVILLE — Corey Rouse
had a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds to help lead East
Carolina to an 80-74 come-from-behind victory over St. Paul's on
Saturday.
Tyrone Beale and Sam
Ninnant each scored 13 points and Jeremy Ingram added 13 points off the
bench for the Pirates (6-7). Courtney Captain recorded 11 points off the
bench.
Hassan Robinson led four
players in double-digit scoring for St. Paul's (5-4) with 21 points.
Antonia Hargrove and Brandon Royal scored 12 points apiece and Omar
Shands came off the bench to score 11.
The Division II Tigers, of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic
Association, led 42-33 at the break and stayed in front for most of the
second half.
The Pirates turned the
game in their favor with a 10-2 run in the final 3:48 of the contest.
ECU opens its Conference
USA schedule Wednesday when
fourth-ranked Memphis pays a visit to
Minges Coliseum's Williams Arena. Tip-off for the nationally-televised
game (CSTV) is set for 7 p.m.
