TULSA, OK — Four East Carolina players scored in double figures in a 91-78 American Athletic Conference loss at Tulsa on Sunday.
Isaac Fleming had 20 points on nine of 15 field goal shooting with nine rebounds, 10 assists and three steals.
Shawn Williams added 18 points as the Pirates slipped to 10-18 overall and 3-13 in the AAC. Seth LeDay had 15 points before fouling out. Freshman Jayden Gardner had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
K.J. Davis and DeShaun Wade had six points each for the Pirates.
ECU was within 31-30 with four minutes left in the first half after a layup by Fleming but the Golden Hurricane went on a 14-6 run to lead 45-36 at the break.
Tulsa took a 77-73 overtime win over the Pirates in Greenville on Feb. 17.
The Golden Hurricane (18-12, 8-9) got 23 points from Curran Scott, 19 from Martins Igbaru and 17 from Jeriah Horne in the second meeting of the season.
The hosts made 32 of 54 field goal attempts on Sunday, 59.3 percent. That included 10 of 19 behind the arc, 52.6 percent. ECU committed just seven turnovers.
The Pirates play at Wichita State (15-13, 8-8) on Tuesday at 9 p.m.
