After three rain delays Friday, the opener of East Carolina's three-game
American Athletic Conference series at Connecticut was suspended.
The contest was scoreless
through six innings as left-handers Anthony Kay of UConn and Evan
Kruczynski of the Pirates each had eight strikeouts.
Play is scheduled to resume
at noon today with the second game of the series to follow.
