GREENVILLE — Two East Carolina
errors in the top of the first inning helped Tennessee to a 3-0 lead and
the Volunteers went on to take a 5-2 win in the Keith LeClair Classic on
Saturday.
Three of Tennessee's runs were
unearned as the Pirates committed four errors.
ECU (7-3) stranded 11.

out and didn't get anything to show for it," said Pirates coach Cliff
Godwin.
ECU left the sacks filled in the
first and the fourth against Vols starter Zach Warren (3-0), a sophomore
left-hander who walked two and struck out seven in six and two-thirds

A sacrifice fly by Jordan Rodgers
extended Tennessee's lead to 4-0 in the sixth.
The Pirates cut the lead to 4-2 in
the seventh. Turner Brown led off with a single to center. Charlie
Yorgen singled with one out. Eric Tyler brought in two runs with a
double to right.
